A recently-single woman dreads the thought of going back to her home town in Louisiana for Christmas when she finds out her ex-boyfriend will be there with his new girlfriend.
My Rating:
My Thoughts:
Out of all of the Christmas movies that I have watched so far this year, this is the best. The story is absolutely fantastic. I loved it.
I liked the way that Jolie and Jack needed each other and became friends, then realized that they had feelings for each other. Ok, with a little help from Jolie’s friend Naomi.
Since the actors all knew each other before filming their on-screen relationships were so much better. Naomi and Sid were so funny. Naomi hiding behind the couch and talking to Jolie was hilarious. Along with the list of things the “real” author wanted to happen in the romance novel that Jack was ghostwriting.
This movie just seemed authentic and something that could happen. The characters were realistic with fears and strengths that helped them fit together and tell an outstanding story. My stepdad happens to like this one a lot.
My favorite things:
- The setting, Louisana is beautiful, and there is no fake snow!
- The friendship of Jolie and Naomi.
- Jolie’s mom calls her Jo-bear.
- Jolie’s family.
- The Christmas Market.
- A Christmas Tree Maze.
- Jack saving Jolie from an alligator.
- The way Jolie’s sister teases her.
- Jumbo Contest
- The ending which was sweet.
So, if you are looking for a great Christmas movie check out The Christmas Contract. If you are a One Tree Hill fan you probably already know about this movie.
