My Rating:
My Thoughts:
Kurt Russell is back as Santa Claus, and he has done another absolutely amazing job of making this character his own. Not only that but Goldie Hawn’s Mrs. Claus was fabulous. I want Mrs. Claus’s powers, or maybe I could have an elf. Just not Belsnickel.
Katie is still the main character going to see Santa Claus, but instead of her brother, Teddy, going with her; it’s her mom’s boyfriend’s son Jack. These two are not the most likely people to be stuck going on this experience together. They both go on their own journeys as they each have to help both Santa and Mrs. Claus.
I love how everyone’s characters had their own part of the story while also growing but being true to themselves. It’s great to see this, and I am glad to see Goldie Hawn have more of a role in this one than in the first one.
The story is written suberbly. I loved every part of it, and I also have to say that Belsnickel is a great bad character as well. It was hard not to know who the character was at first until after it was explained. Every part of this movie was great from start to finish, and I can’t wait to see if they do a third one.
I completely recommend The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two to everyone. What a great holiday movie!
