Want to know what happened to Elle and Noah straight after the smash-hit Netflix film The Kissing Booth?
Elle Evans always spends a perfect summer full of sun, sea and plenty of flirting at Lee and Noah's beach house.
And she can't wait to hit the beach, even if this year, things are a little different...
Elle is now officially dating hotter-than-hot Noah - it's amazing, and Elle's never been happier. But Noah's leaving for Harvard at the end of the summer - and what will happen to them then?
Meanwhile Lee's new girlfriend, Rachel, is joining them for the summer. Elle and Lee have always been BFFs, but can everything stay the same with Rachel on the scene - and with Elle now dating Lee's big brother?
Can Elle have one last perfect summer with her two favourite boys?
The Beach House by Beth Reekles is about having fun in the summer.
Will Elle get her perfect summer at the Beach House?
Elle Evans
Rochelle “Elle” Evans wants to enjoy her summer before her senior year of high school the same as it always has been for her, Lee, and Noah. They can act like kids at the Flynn’s beach house if they want to. Elle is still the same character as I remember her from reading the first book, and it’s great. I love her friendship with Lee and how comfortable she is in her relationship with Noah.
Noah, Lee, and Rachel
Noah is Elle’s boyfriend, and they are extremely cute together, and this little novella makes it even more adorable. However, Noah has to leave the beach house early which is a bummer for everyone involved, including Lee and Elle. Lee is Noah’s little brother and Elle’s bestest friend since they were born. I love how Lee and Elle are so sure in their friendship that they are just supposed to be friends and nothing else. On the other hand, for poor Elle, Rachel is a sore subject. Elle wants to be happy for Lee, but she’s unsure about Rachel. Elle just needs to spend some time with Rachel to see if it’s just the nerves talking or if Rachel really is jealous of Elle and Lee’s friendship.
These four are pretty much cute together, and I hope that Elle and Rachel can be friends for Lee’s sake since Elle needs to have a girl that’s a friend in her life besides all these guys that she is hanging around with all the time.
Five Stars
My rating for The Beach House by Beth Reekles is five stars, and I am happy to recommend it to anyone that likes to read young adult contemporary romances. Not only that but to at least pretend for a short while to be in sunny California down by the beach soaking up those rays. Ms. Reekles has transported me from Montana to the shores of southern California easily. I love Elle, Noah, Lee, and Rachel, which means that I can’t wait to dive into Going the Distance as soon as I’m done here. That happens to be right now!
