Grape-Nuts Pudding
Earlier, this week I baked Tabitha Trumbull’s Grape-Nuts Pudding. This recipe is from Final Exam by Carol J. Perry. There are three recipes included with mystery.
- Aunt Ibby’s Ginger Pancakes with Lemon Sauce
- Tabitha Trumball’s Grape-Nuts Pudding
- Lee’s Bread Dipping Sauce
The Baroness’ thoughts about making Tabitha Trumbull’s Grape-Nuts Pudding
As always, first, I gathered all of the ingredients together and made sure I have everything that I will need. This recipe is easy to follow. It is just combining all of the ingredients and baking. The hard part for me was knowing when the pudding was done. I think I may have overcooked it slightly.
The recipe
Every diner in Massachusetts used to feature Grape-Nuts pudding. Some of them still do. There are some fancy versions around, but this is Tabitha’s, and Aunt Ibby says it’s the real recipe.
The Baroness’ thoughts about the Grape-Nuts Pudding
The proof is in the pudding. I enjoyed the Grape-Nuts Pudding and pudding isn’t something that I order when out. Growing up the only type of pudding I can think of is the bananas in the banana pudding with Nilla Wafers.
The taste of the Grape-Nuts Pudding is vanilla, but the Grape-Nuts give it a nice texture. I will make this again when we have company over.
A special thanks to Carol J. Perry for including this recipe in her book, Final Exam. Please feel free to check out my review of the eighth book in A Witch City Mystery Series.
I hope you enjoyed this #bookishrecipe.
