The Baroness’ thoughts about baking Phyllis Newsom’s Lime Snowflake Cookies
As always, first, I gathered all of the ingredients together and made sure I have everything that I will need. However, in the process of doing that I realized that we didn’t have my mom’s snowflake cookie cutter. She remembers lending it to a neighbor in California but doesn’t remember if she got it back. So, we improvised by using a star cutter. So, technically we made Lime Star Cookies.
This recipe is easy to follow, but I have never rolled out cookie dough before, This was a first time. My mom showed me, and it wasn’t too bad. We also added snowflake sprinkles to the tops along with the sugar.

The Baroness’ thoughts about the Lime Snowflake Cookies
The Lime Snowflake Cookies are so tasty with just that little hint of lime. They were sweet but not too sweet. I thought these cookies would make it until Christmas, but I was wrong. They are addicting.
A special thanks to Livia J. Washburn for including this recipe in her book, The Christmas Cookie Killer. Please feel free to check out my review of the third book in the Fresh Baked Mystery Series.
Hope you enjoyed this #bookishrecipe.
Thank you for stopping by,
Merry Christmas!
