Have you read Designs on Murder by Gayle Leeson? Oh, well you should definitely do that. If you don’t, you won’t have a chance to meet the outstanding characters. Speaking of characters here’s an introduction to Max, she is Amanda’s best friend.
Everyone, let me introduce Maxine Englebright or Max as she prefers
Hi! How’s tricks? I see you looking at my dress. Believe me, darling, it was at the height of fashion in my day. When was my day, you ask? Well, my last one was in May of 1930. Be careful of that staircase out there. One misstep and you might find yourself stuck here with me for quite a while.
On the other hand, you might pass right on into the light. I’ve been at this ghost game for nearly ninety years now, and I have no idea what I’m supposed to be doing or figuring out. I know other people have died in this building—including the latest chap, Mark, who was a web designer and worked upstairs—but I don’t see any other ghosts lingering about. I never have. Do you think that’s strange?
Are you privy to any ghost lore I should know about? I suppose I really ought to try to find out more about my condition, but I’m perfectly content…especially since Amanda opened up Designs on You here.
Amanda is a great conversationalist, and she’s given me a computer tablet that I can use to read books and watch films. I can’t manipulate solid objects, but I’ve recently learned that I can sure operate electronic devices. Amanda has introduced me to a whole new world!
Thank you for dropping by! I hope you enjoyed meeting Max, she the bee’s knees. Don’t you think?
