My Thoughts:
We start this movie following Lacey’s character Emma in New York before flying off to Belgium for her getaway that she planned a while back with her boyfriend (they broke up).
I do love the idea of the chocolatiers competing to make the new Royal Chocolate for Valentine’s Day.
Emma is a cool character, and I love her a lot. She loves to bake and experiment with different flavor combinations which are pretty cool. I have to say her chocolate cherry cola cake sounds delicious. Her and Luc are adorable together. I adored their first meeting at the market.
Luc is a chocolatier and is follow the recipe type, so when these two started to work together, it is amusing. They also work in sync once they get their rhythm going which is cute.
Lacey Chabert and Will Kemp do a fantastic job at showing their development of becoming friends to more within the short time that she is there. I thoroughly thought that they were their characters and falling in love with each other.
Brittany Bristow, who we saw during Christmas in Christmas at the Palace, is back in this movie as the Belgium Innkeeper and she did a fabulous job. She was great at adding romance to the events.
They ate so much chocolate in this movie, and I didn’t eat any, but my stomach was already groaning in pain from all the chocolate they consumed. This movie is such a sweet, feel-good type of romance.
This movie wraps up the Valentine’s Day celebration at Hallmark, but other films are coming up, so check your listings or the Hallmark Checklist App.
