My Thoughts:
Hallmark has redeemed themselves by casting Bethany Joy Lenz in this role. Just My Type as the first Spring Fever movie set the bar high, in my opinion, for the rest of the movies. I loved the story, the characters, and the overall feel for it.
Bethany Joy Lenz is playing a character that is now a journalist, she wanted to be a writer first, but things happen. I love how Bethany was able to bring Vanessa to life, and her little fangirl moments over Martin Clayborne are perfect. Another thing that I love is that you can slowly see her falling for Martin throughout the movie. Well, after he agrees to let her do the interview.
Brett Dalton is playing Martin Clayborne, and he is the perfect match to Bethany. These two have the chemistry that I am always looking for in the Hallmark movies. Sometimes Hallmark can deliver while sometimes they don’t. In this one, they delivered, and I loved it. Martin is an outstanding guy. He wants to have a simple life, which is hard for him when he doesn’t know if he can continue to write the mystery novels that made him famous as an author.
I love Brett and Bethany together, and especially in the setting that is chosen for this movie. It is just perfect. This movie was beautiful, and I recommend seeing Just My Type if you haven’t already.
