HOMETOWN CHRISTMAS
Network: Lifetime
Stars: Beverley Mitchell, Stephen Colletti, Melissa Gilbert, Danny Boaz
Back in Louisiana for Christmas, Noelle Collins (Mitchell) has big plans to resurrect the town’s live nativity, a beloved tradition that her late mother used to put on. Things become complicated, however, when Noelle runs into her high school sweetheart, Nick Russell (Colletti), a rising baseball star also back home due to a recent injury.
Still feeling the burn from their senior year break-up, their lives are pushed together even further when they learn their parents share an attraction and want to be more than just friends.
When things begin to fall apart with the live nativity, Nick and Noelle reluctantly team up to pull off the show and find themselves growing close, uncovering a hometown love for each other and the joy of Christmas that both never really faded away.

My Thoughts:
This Christmas movie was terrific. I loved the cast, all of them. The setting was so great, for some reason, I like these Christmas movies set in the south. Perhaps it is no fake snow.
The story was cute, high school sweethearts reunite and find each other. However, it wasn’t just that as there was the brother and his new fiancee (so adorable), and Noelle’s widowed father and Nick’s divorced mom finding love too. Lots of kisses and love going on.
It was great they way everyone chipped in to help with the nativity.
A few things that got my attention
- Southern Snowman Competition
- Nick coaching a Christmas Baseball Camp
- Will made the paper snow for his fiancee. So, she won’t miss her family Christmas as much.
- The Christmas Fair
- Nick’s old truck
- Mary’s Sweet Potato Pie
Oh, and hey this is like the third or fourth with a broken water pipe that makes the event have to be moved to a barn. Just saying…
Kisses (3 couples):
