How did you and your author meet?

Sarah stumbled upon me one day as I was minding my own business. She hasn’t left me alone since.

Why did this writer decide to feature you in a book?

After a near-death experience, I acquired what my bestie calls a superpower. I can see a person’s thoughts with one touch. It’s not all it’s cracked up to be. I think Sarah likes to watch me battle with it.

Do you have any friends or family helping you out?

My parents are amazing helpers. But more often you can catch me solving mysteries with my bestie Stella and her older brother Steve.

Do you have a regular job and investigate on the side or are you a full time detective?

I used to be a massage therapist. Maybe one day, if my gift goes away, I can be a massage therapist again.

What is the funniest thing that happens to you or another character in this story?

Working with Stella to figure out my gift was funny after the fact. In the middle of it I was stressed out.

Have you solved other cases, or is this your first one?

This is my first tangle with a murderer.

Do you have a gift or special talent?

Since being attacked, I’ve been sort of a sponger of secrets. One touch, and I can see it all.

Who is the most important individual in your life?

Stella and her brother Steve are my best friends, confidantes, and criminal partners.

What is your ideal vacation?

I’d love a quiet weekend away in a cabin with just nature and a good book. (As long as I can have my cold brew with me too)

If you could change anything about your life what would it be?

I’d love to find a way to turn off my gift. Knowing you can’t touch anyone anymore without being a peeping tom can be lonely.

About the Author

Sarah lives in California, in a home that brings her happiness and hay fever. She loves God, loves her family, and loves freshly brewed coffee. She has a husband who cooks, a son who stop animates, a daughter who loves animals, a dog that follows her everywhere, and a turtle who scowls at her condescendingly.

Her mother raised her on Mary Higgins Clark, Diane Mott Davidson, and Remington Steele. Her grandmother shared True Crime stories with her as they plotted how to get away with the perfect murder. It’s no surprise that Sarah became an award-winning spinner of suspenseful tales brimming with quirky characters. Mysteries are in her blood. Not that she could survive one of her own stories. She confesses, “I’d be snuffed out by chapter two.”
