Something wicked this way comes…
Witch Jayce Bonheim has spent the last four months waiting for a horde of dark magicians to come to town.
Now, they’ve arrived, embedded in a traveling circus.
And they’re bigger and badder than this ex-party girl could have imagined, wreaking havoc wherever they go.
But when a murder rocks her small town, Jayce must stop the chaos. Walking a tightrope between dark spells and past regrets, can Jayce stop a murderer and stop these magicians from transforming the world forever?
If you’re a fan of Charlaine Harris, Heather Blake, or Amanda M. Lee, don’t miss Fate, book 6 in The Witches of Doyle cozy mystery novels.
This novel is a full-length, witch cozy mystery featuring true-to-life spells in the back of the book, a trio of witchy sisters, and a dash of romance. Though Fate can be read as a standalone, it's best read in series order. It's rated PG-13 due to mild language and some romance.

Fate by Kirsten Weiss is an excellent story with mystery and magic set in Doyle, California.

Will the fight against Fate end the way that the Bonheim sisters want?

Jayce Bonheim

Jayce is our main character and our witchy sleuth. She finds herself in the position of saving the town from the magical bad guys. However, she doesn’t have to do it alone; her sisters are there to help her if she stops to let them in. It felt like Jayce learned a lot about herself and the people of Doyle.

What I like about Jayce is she tries to protect all of the townspeople. She also wasn’t afraid to call her friend out what she thought her friend had done. Braydon and Jayce have a good relationship; it was nice to see them working together. The only thing that bothers me about  Jayce is she doesn’t always communicate well. Other than that, she is a great character.

The Mystery

We have a few murders and then the whole mystery of who, why, and what the Black Lodge wants with Doyle. Things are moving fast, and it feels like as soon as Jayce finds a clue, the next issue is surfacing. I liked the way the sisters work together to solve the magical side of the problems.

Also, the author gives us a police blotter at the beginning of each chapter, which keeps us on track of what is going on in the town and made me laugh.

Five Stars

Fate by Kirsten Weiss is a well-crafted story with amazing characters, a lovely setting, and the right amount of intrigue.  I loved it. Therefore I am giving it five stars. I highly recommend this to all cozy paranormal readers.

Remember, if you want to see what the mundanes went through, check out my review of Close Encounters of the Curd Kind. It’s the other side of what is happening in Doyle; you know the UFO, aliens, and the same mass hysteria.
