Summary:
A Paranormal Cozy Mystery Series:
Twenty-four-year old Vivien Belcher–Ms. B, for obvious reasons–teaches a full class of kindergarten students in Southwest Michigan in a Lake Michigan beach town. Trying to maintain control of her overly enthusiastic students while managing life as a fully-fledged adult, Vivien’s life is balancing as perfectly as a gymnast sticking her landing until the scale tips when she receives an unlikely and unwelcome text message from her ex-boyfriend…her dead ex-boyfriend.
Trapped in the Transitional World and having to atone for his many sins in life, Kasper must “make good” by helping to solve the murder of his beloved high school lunch lady. The problem? It’s hard to solve a murder as a ghost. But Kasper doesn’t count on Vivien’s reluctance to help him, not to mention her doubt. And he really doesn’t count on his reaction to Vivien moving on with relationships in her life that don’t include him.
What ensues is hilarity and frustration as Kasper’s time is running out to convince Vivien to help him. Being a ghost is hard. But so is being a new teacher.
Marcy Blesy is the author of The Tucson Valley Retirement Community Cozy Mystery Series which has sold thousands of books in the hilarious whodunit series.

Character Interview for Vivien Belcher
How did you and your author meet?
My author, Marcy Blesy, met me after watching a TikTok video about a man that received a call from his dad’s cellphone number, but his dad had been gone for three years. It really rattled him. Turns out his mom had kept her husband’s phone and needed to use it the day she called her son. That’s how the idea for texting from beyond came to the author’s mind. She decided to have my jerky ex-boyfriend contact me instead of someone I really cared about, though.
Why did this writer decide to feature you in a book?
Marcy used to be an elementary school teacher and school librarian. Apparently, she had a LOT of stories to tell. She definitely takes the teacher’s side of things. LOL
Do you have any friends or family helping you out?
Sure. My school bestie is Colby. She’s marrying a guy named Spider soon. He’s a professional video gamer but cool. I have a teacher mentor named Lola who is very supportive, too. Zeb Malone, the hunky school librarian, has the heart of the students and definitely my attention, but with Kasper, my ex, constantly bugging me from beyond to help him solve a murder so he can “move on,” it doesn’t seem fair to get mixed up with Zeb, at least not yet. Maybe. We’ll see. I have a cat named Bruce, after my dad’s favorite singer Bruce Springsteen. He’s my baby. Then there’s this whole book club group that I have to join to get intel about the murder of one of its members and my former high school lunch lady. They are an eclectic group of people to say the least.
Do you have a regular job and investigate on the side or are you a full time detective?
I’m a kindergarten teacher. I never wanted to get involved in sleuthing, but I guess if I can get a student to admit to adding dish soap to our class fishtank, then I can find out anything. I just have to ask the right questions.
What is the funniest thing that happens to you or another character in this story?
Remember that dish soap I mentioned? It turns out that when added to tile floor, things get extra slippery when running across the classroom to put out a figurative fire. I’ll make sure not to wear such a short skirt again.
Have you solved other cases or is this your first one?
It’s my first and hopefully my last, but I do see that my writer has written a book 2. Doesn’t she understand me at all?
Do you have a gift or special talent?
I wish I could say that I do. I don’t know. Maybe forming young minds is a gift. I do my best. It’s not easy.
Who is the most important individual in your life?
I lost my dad when I was a senior in high school. He was my world.
What is your ideal vacation?
I’d love to go to one of those resorts where no kids are allowed. I need a break from all the things!
If you could change anything about your life what would it be?
I’d love to have my dad back, and I wish I’d dated more wisely in high school. But I’m in a job I love, so hopefully things will settle down soon.
