My Thoughts:
Christmas Reservations has a total of four couples that we follow, but our main couple is Holly (Melissa Joan Hart) and Kevin (Ricardo Chavira). Holly learns throughout the film that maybe she shouldn’t give up on her dream and that her dad will be alright by himself. Kevin learns that he shouldn’t give up on love and that his kids might need someone like Holly in their lives.
Another couple is Tom (Michael Gross) and Tay (Markie Post). Tom is Holly’s father and the owner of a ski resort that he and his daughter run. He has been trying to keep everything running smoothly for years, especially after his wife’s passing, and it’s hard. Tay makes Tom feel like he can do anything that he sets his mind to, and it’s fantastic to see how these two interact.
The third couple is Kay (Gigi Rice) and Duffy (Ted McGinley). Kay is sister to Tay and the reason Tay is up there at a ski resort. She meets Duffy and gets to do a lot with him. Duffy won silver skiing in the Olympics, but after that, his career has gone south. He returned to the ski resort for a last hoorah before retiring.
The last couple is Preena (Nida Khurshid) and Leo (Eric Grooms). Preena is traveling the US with her grandma exploring colleges, and they stop to have Christmas at the ski resort. They met Leo, and the grandma thinks he is a bellhop. Preena wants to get to know Leo and talk about Dartmouth college.
These four couples go through a lot together, and I loved every moment of it. The setting is beautiful and the acting superb, not that I would expect anything less from Melissa Joan Hart. You should watch this Christmas movie if you haven’t already.
