Halloween LaVeau hopes that she can finally relax and have a good time at The Bubbling Cauldron's annual Halloween bash. Being the leader of the Underworld isn't as easy as Hallie thought.
All the Enchantment Pointe witches have gathered for a night of treats, but no tricks. When Hallie's best friend Annabelle is accused of messing with another witch's magic, Hallie must conjure up her sleuthing skills before all of Enchantment Pointe falls under a spell gone wrong.
Can Halloween LaVeau prove her best friend didn’t do anything wrong?
Charmed and Dangerous by Rose Pressey was an excellent short little read. This book is perfect to read on Halloween night while waiting for trick-or-treaters to show up at your door. I finished this book in one sitting. Hallie is still the same girl from the first three books. Well four for me. I might have skipped this one unintentionally before.
I am giving it a four-star rating.
The Series
I like Rose Pressey books; they always have a touch of southern charm and a little humor. However, I think that the Halloween LaVeau series is my favorite of Rose Pressey’s many series. Halloween LaVeau is a great character, with strength, compassion, and the ability to give everyone a fair chance. The cast of characters that assist her in being the Leader of the Underworld are quirky, loyal and the situations they all get into make me laugh at loud.
If you haven’t check out these other books in the series. I have only read the first four, but the others are on my TBR list. Yes, that list is very long. So many books and so little time. But I am happy that there are so many amazing books out there.
