Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: The Disappearing Game
Network: Hallmark Movies & Mysteries
Series Number: 9
Director: Terry Ingram
Teleplay by: Teena Booth
Cast:
Candace Cameron Bure (Aurora)
Lexa Doig (Sally Allison)
Niall Matter (Nick Miller)
And Marilu Henner (Aida)
Plot Summary:
Crime-solving librarian Aurora Teagarden leaps headfirst into her latest murder investigation when her nephew Phillip and his college roommate go missing after the roommate’s girlfriend is found dead. Enlisting the help of her Real Murders pals, and the handsome college professor Nick Miller who just moved in across the street from her, Roe uncovers a kidnapping plot gone awry.
Based on the characters in the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries by Charlaine Harris
My Rating:
My Thoughts:
The first movie with Aurora’s new love interest Nick Miller, who is a psychology professor at the local college and a new tenant of Aida’s. Aida’s beau, John, is also gone from this movie as well. Both Teagarden women are looking for new men in their lives.
My favorite scenes in here:
- My first scene is Aurora and her friends, aka Real Murders club members, solving Tammy’s death. Roe is involved in clearing her cousin Phillip’s name. Which leads to the next scene. That is Phillip is involved since he drove Tammy to a hair appointment.
- The next one is that Aurora and her friends are trying to prove that Phillip didn’t do this since he didn’t have a motive. Why would he kill his college roommates girlfriend?
- Another one I like is Clayton is a suspect for Tammy, Phillip, and Josh’s, Phillips roommate, going missing and death.
- Arthur is now the police chief, which is exciting.
The mystery is, of course, the killing of Tammy and the two boys going missing. This movie had a lot of clues to keep track of. I managed to figure it before Aurora did this time.
This installment introduces Nick as Aurora’s new love interest since. Of course, Aida is okay with Nick but not about Roe still solving crimes.
