Jen’s 2023 Reading Challenges
Hi!
I am back again. I had a great time this year doing the reading challenges. So, I thought I would mix it up a bit this year.
If you want to join one of the challenges below, click the link after “Hosted by,” and it will take you to the challenge page. You can find all the rules there and sign up too.
Due to the amount of reading challenges, progress will be tracked on different and separate posts that you can find at the top of the page under “Reading Challenges.”
2023 Goodreads Reading Challenge
Hosted by: Goodreads
Goodreads hosts this reading challenge every year. I have been participating in this contest since 2011. I haven’t always hit my target, but I try. You do have to sign up to be on Goodreads, but you probably already are if you are a reader.
My goal this year will be 52 books.
2023 Alphabet Soup Reading Challenge

Be sure to include the book title too.

My goal this year is to read 26 books per challenge requirements.
2023 Beachcomber Mystery Reading Challenge
Hosted by: Rick Mills Project
The goal is to become a Beachcomber by filling the set of four beach bags (23 items per bag, 92 items total) as you read mysteries!
- All four beach bags now use the find-the-letter-of-the-alphabet system.
- You can use ANY letter in the word, not just the first letter. You can use Knife for F.
- Crime Scenes can be “regional” – from a specific room to a street to a city to a state.
- You can use any book as many times as you like.
- You are not limited to the author’s exact words but may substitute as needed. For example, the author uses the word “handgun,” but you need a T – to substitute “pisTol.”
My goal this year is to finish one bag per category.

So, what do you think? Will I complete these 2023 Reading Challenges? I am going to give it my best shot.
Even though this is a challenge, remember it should be fun. I believe these RCs’ purpose is to get us to read more and connect with others.
As these posts can get long, Karen has decided to track our progress together for each challenge. Go to Reading Challenges on the above menu, which will give you links to the tracking system.
Until next time,
So many challenges… I am looking for some for this year. I am thinking about joining some with you.
Thank you for joining the Cruisin’ thru the Cozies Reading Challenge. I hope you read many great cozies. Enjoy!
