Plot Summary:

When Jessica sends Christmas cards to five people who’ve changed her life, each is inspired themselves. But Jessica’s music teacher never receives her card. Instead, her son Luke arrives with a vintage cello, explaining his mom is abroad and wanted Jessica to have her beloved instrument. Instantly hitting it off, Luke and Jessica have a wonderful day, ending when Luke gives Jessica a photo of the moon, quoting from It’s a Wonderful Life, “You want the moon? My Rating:

five-stars

My Thoughts:

Jessica (Torrey DeVitto) was in a relationship with this one guy that wasn’t right for her, and she didn’t realize it until she thought he was going to propose. Instead of being her normal Christmas loving self Jessica has decided to celebrate it as just another day. She wants nothing to do with it. That is until she sees her cards while boxing everything up that she bought to send to her ex-boyfriend the last few days before Christmas. Instead, they went to the people that have helped her and that she is thankful for being there.

One went to her music teacher, and her son Luke is staying at her place and has decided to help her out. Along the way, after bringing her one of his mom’s cellos, they connected. Maybe even falling in love? Jessica’s card to her music teacher helped both Luke and Jessica. Luke remembers why he loves Christmas so much and Jessica on why she loves her music still and that she shouldn’t give up on her dream.

The second went to her best friend, and coworker at Jessica’s music store, and her friend’s husband. It made them realize that they should talk more and communicate better than just passing by each other.

The third went to her aunt, who took her and her brother in when the parents died. Aunt Lila then met a guy and a dog that jump-started that for those three.

The fourth went to her brother, who is in the army. The letter gave him the courage to talk to a girl that he’s been wanting to talk to but kept chickening out.

The last one went to a singer that was in a boyband when she was sixteen that she loves. The singer was in a rut and then read that card that surprised him a lot.

The acting in this film was fabulous; the entire production is so well put together. I have to say that this is one of the best Hallmark Channel Christmas movies that I have seen this year. Besides, who doesn’t want to see Torrey DeVitto and Chad Michael Murray together? If you haven’t seen this film, you should.

All of these cards did so much to help all of these people. It was such a caring, thoughtful act. If we could all send a Christmas card to five people that have influenced or meant the most to us this year. Imagine what happiness we could bring.
