The Baroness’ Choices for Upcoming Releases for April 2020

Hello!

So, March. Wow, am I right? How are all of you doing with the quarantine? My life is about the same since I am home for the most part. I am still doggy sitting since it is just me, and Luigi, we are good. At home, it’s pretty much the same. I had hoped to get more reading done, but my mom decided to do some #quarentinecleaning. However, she feels we have a handle on it, for the most part, so now it’s time for me to get back on schedule or ahead if that is possible. Since most of you are home, I went looking for lots of new books for all of us.

The Books

There are so many books coming out this April. My choices include romances, cozy mysteries, cozy culinary mysteries, thrillers, cozy paranormal mysteries, science fiction, young adult, fantasy, and women’s fiction. There are also some short stories and middle school age books.

I will be reviewing a few of these, but most of them are going on my TBR. Oh, and watch any of the independent authors that you read as they may have books coming out too. I know that Erin Johnson might get the fifth Magic Market (cozy witch mystery) out before the end of April. What books are you planning on reading this coming month?

Here are my choices for Upcoming Releases for April 2020.

Grimm Cove#2

Publication Date: April 28, 2020

Genre: Paranormal Women’s Fiction, Romance

Goodreads | BookBub | Amazon

I’ve been told I’m a force to be reckoned with. That I blow onto the scene like a tornado.

At age forty I’ve stopped caring if that’s a compliment or a dig. Now I just wear it like a badge of honor. So when life threw me a curveball and I ended up going from a cushy job in New York City to the tiny Southern town of Grimm Cove I thought I was ready for anything.

Ha! Not quite.

You see, Grimm Cove is teeming with supernaturals. Since I’ve known they exist all of like a hot minute, I’m still in a state of total shock. When I learn that I come from a long line of witches and demon slayers, the stakes (pun intended) get even higher and sharper. These monsters aren’t make-believe. They’re out for blood. I’m trying to decide if having the head of the local wolf-shifter pack nipping at my heels is an asset in this fight, or if he’s one more person I need to watch my back around.

Thank the estrogen goddesses I have my besties with me or I’m not sure I could survive being what most would label middle-aged, hunted by demons, and the heat that comes along with the South.

Book contains: kick-butt women who are considered middle-aged at forty but who don’t let themselves be defined by a number, alpha males, paranormal elements (witches, shifters, ghosts, etc.), some mildly strong language (nothing too earth-shattering), sexy scenes but they aren’t 50 shades of OMG or anything and an alpha male and alpha female who butt heads but find their way to a HEA.
