One week before Christmas, Margaret, the gorgeous Duchess of Montenaro, switches places with Stacy, a “commoner” from Chicago, who looks exactly like her. With the assistance of a magical Santa’s helper, Margaret falls in love with Stacy’s handsome co-worker, while Stacy falls in love with Margaret’s fiance, the dashing Prince.

My Thoughts:
OMG! I absolutely loved this movie. It is super fabulous. It is funny, witty, with originality, and fun for the whole family. The story is so good. I mean seriously royalty, baking and a bit of magic. Wonderful writing.
The setting is marvelous and realistic. It wasn’t over the top, yet it actually felt right. Not that I have ever been to a palace, but this is what I would imagine one to be like. The acting was great. Vanessa Hudgens does a terrific job of being two very different people. I really liked when they were teaching each other to walk, and the other one was rolling their eyes. Also, Nick Sagar as Kevin and Sam Palladio as Prince Edward were great too. Oh, and Alexa Adeosun as Olivia was so adorable.
Things that I liked:
- The secret handshake
- Olivia knowing right away
- The toy store
- The riding scene and the exchange on the mountain top
- The children’s home Christmas party
- Twister
- Prince Mothballs
- Ballet scholarship for Olivia
- The baking competition (although the mixer thing was kind of crazy)
- The Queen dealing with Frank
Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.
So, if you haven’t seen it already, you should. I highly recommend this Christmas movie. Although, you could watch it whenever. I know I will.
