St. Valentine’s Day is THE perfect day for a wedding. Unless a vandal is trying to ruin your life that is.

Callie is finally getting her dream wedding. On St. Valentine’s Day no less. Only a vandal is determined to destroy her bakery before the wedding can occur. Anna, self-proclaimed best cupcake baker this side of the Mississippi, is not letting anything happen to the cupcake bakery. No way. Barista extraordinaire Kristie jumps at the chance to help as well. Together the three women launch a mission to find the jerk who thinks it’s okay to attack the bakery.

Will the gals of Callie’s Cakes find the vandal and save the cupcake bakery before Callie’s dream wedding is ruined?

Cupcakes not included, although recipes for all the delicious cupcakes Anna bakes are.

Saint Vandal’s Day by DE Haggerty is the latest installment of this fantastic series.

Can Callie, Anna, and Kristie figure out who’s vandalizing the bakery before the big day?

The Girls

Callie, Anna, and Kristie are back at it again, striking out on their own and solving this case. I have to admit each time I join them in solving a case; I am there with them. Logan is hilarious when dealing with Anna, especially when it comes to these cases.

Callie is our main point of view person this time, and she’s pretty funny. I like the fact spewing of Callie’s since it’s pretty interesting. It’s a good thing Anna was in charge of making sure that Callie didn’t eat any sweets before the wedding because her willpower isn’t that great. I liked everything about Callie and found her refreshing up against Anna.

Anna is the baker, and wow, is she a determined little thing when it comes to her baking. Reading about her cupcakes has me believe that they are delicious as described. Let’s say that Anna is the driving force of these three friends in solving a crime against any of them. I wouldn’t mind having a friend like Anna.

Saint Vandals CRLastly, Kristie isn’t as active as she was in the last book. Granted, the last one we were following her but in the sense that she wasn’t at the bakery as often. I still like Kristie as she does help Anna and Callie when it comes to doing things that involve computers or anything like that. She is still a good character.

The Mystery

Leading up to Callie’s wedding. Callie’s Cakes bakery has been vandalized and has been getting bad Yelp reviews. Anna takes it personally when they said her baking is terrible. They painted graffiti on their windows. I honestly never thought about who the vandal happens to be and why he did it. It’s always a good thing to stump the reader, and this one definitely stumped me.

5 Stars

Saint Vandal’s Day by DE Haggerty is a wonderfully written book that has a great plot and mystery. I keep thinking back to the book and the clues left by the vandal, and I still didn’t think it was the person it turned out to be. Ms. Haggerty does a great job on this book, and I love this series. I am giving this five stars and recommending it to everyone.

The recipes are Chocolate Sweetheart Cupcakes, Valentine’s Day Cupcakes, Ferrero Rocher Stuffed Cupcakes, Strawberry Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting, Double Chocolate Football Cupcakes, Peanut Butter and Jelly Cupcakes, Chocolate Merlot Cupcakes, Bailey’s Cupcakes, and Valentine’s Day Surprise Cupcakes.
