The Murder Mystery: A pile of old bones is found in an ancient fishing boat. They could be tied to the disappearance of two young women years ago, back when many of the Destiny Falls people where in high school. Many of the citizens had bad history with the missing students. Do the bones belong to them, and what happened? Were they murdered? And could the murderer be living among them?

Character Interview with Latifa, the Sassy Cat
How did you and your author meet?
My author could only dream of a feline as wonderful as me! Since no such creature existed in her life, she created me out of her visions of the perfect cat, and then touched that vision with wisps of magic.
Why did this writer decide to feature you in a book?
It’s rather obvious, isn’t? I’m a glamourous, confident, brave, brilliant Himalayan beauty. Who wouldn’t want to feature me in a book?
Do you have any friends or family helping you out?
Everyone wants to help me! I just give them that look. You know, the one that cat does in the Shrek movies. Gets ’em every time.
Do you have a regular job and investigate on the side or are you a full-time detective?
Thank you, thank you! Finally. Someone who recognizes that I am the real brains in this operation, not just a cat in the background. If you’d get word to the right people, they should make me a full time detective.
What is the funniest thing that happens to you or another character in this story?
Oh! Hahah. You should see my girl Hayden’s face when the sheriff shows up in costume at the ice cream social! I wish I had a picture. Of course, everyone was flabbergasted at his transformation, so I can’t really blame her. But her eyes popped right out of her head. Hahah.
Have you solved other cases or is this your first one?
Seems I’m always helping to solve a case. I even formed the SCS, you know. The Secret Cat Society. We gather to examine the evidence and solve the cases. We always do, you know. Even when it’s after the fact. Well, that’s not really solving it, then, is it? But we are a brilliant bunch of minds capable of solving any case, and that’s what’s most important.
Do you have a gift or special talent?
I’d have to say the fact that I can send my voice to my girl’s head. No one else can understand me. All they hear is meow, meow, meow. But when we landed in Destiny Falls I was gifted with this amazing talent of communicating with Hayden. It comes in quite handy, you know?
Who is the most important individual in your life?
is that a trick question? Because there are a whole lot of important individuals in my life! If I had to pick my top three, I’d say, my girl, Hayden, of course. My lovely Persian partner, Chanel. And oh, my goodness, is she magnificent! – you should see her glorious white coat and mesmerizing copper eyes! And our darling little kitten, Lola. She’s a handful, but we love her.
What is your ideal vacation?
Every day’s a vacation when you’re me, toots!
If you could change anything about your life what would it be?
Change? Why would I change a thing! My life is the cats’ pajamas. Everybody wants to be me… even me. Meeooow.
