Plot Summary:

Matchmaker Angie Dove’s appearance at a romance convention takes a turn for the mysterious following the fatal poisoning of bestselling author Beatrice Penn. To Angie’s consternation, the prime suspect is Beatrice’s newly minted publisher, Ethan Plume – who’s also Angie’s ex-boyfriend from college. Though Angie has promised to cooperate with Detective Kyle Carter’s investigation, she’s not about to sit idly by when she knows Ethan is innocent. Angie can puzzle out a clue as surely as she can spot a love match, but in her eagerness to find the real killer, she may just put herself at risk.

My Rating:

My Thoughts:

Matchmaker Mysteries: A Fatal Romance is fun, and our sleuth was busy from the start. I do have to say it was good. The sets were nicely done, and the costumes were great as well. I especially love it when Angie is doing her show and trying to film certain scenes when things go wrong.

The height difference between Danica and Victor is pretty funny. You can tell when they are trying to do a scene with them both sitting down to get them in the same frame. Danica is either on a bunch of blankets or a pillow. Victor or any guy that is taller than her has to slouch. It’s honestly comical. Not that it’s a bad thing, but I just find the ways that they make the actors and actresses seem to be taller to be funny. Especially when they are standing, and Danica is on a box to appear taller than she is. Although I love all the high heels that she wears, I would break my leg or something.

It is fabulous that her suspect board is the same one that she uses for her matchmaking business. Angie is an excellent sleuth with the eye for things that not a whole lot of people would see. I love it when she is one step ahead of the detective just minimally. Matchmaker Mysteries: A Fatal Romance is an excellent movie.
