Plot Summary:

Brilliant archaeologist Emma Fielding leads a group of students on a search for unearthed evidence of a 17th century coastal Maine settlement, and digs up a lot more than she bargained for when a dead body, rivals seeking to trump her discovery, and pressure from the university block her every move. In order to pursue her passion for this dig, she’ll have to insert herself into a murder investigation and unearth the killer’s identity before she becomes the next victim.

My Rating:

three-stars

My Thoughts:

The first mystery is about an archeology dig. I found it very interesting. There were a couple of things that I didn’t get about the archelogy aspect.

Emma Fielding is an archeologist and professor. She is following in her father’s footsteps by trying to prove a Viking colony was settled near her stepmom’s house, where she used to go to during the summer. Emma is having her students help at this dig, and they are staying in town at a hotel. Her students are very loyal to her and will stick by her through anything.

Connor is our FBI agent, her cop person, and Emma’s love interest. They met because he was in the neighborhood for a case in stolen arts. He needs her help with this case that involves around the town, not her dig. Connor has Emma helping him, and she is teaching him things about how to recover items.

Courtney Thorne-Smith and James Tupper do a good job portraying their characters. Their chemistry is nice, and I think they are cute together.

The mystery was well planned, but it didn’t take long for my parents and me to figure out who did it. I love movies that are different, and I love the whole archeology aspect.
