Dani has a busy life right now. Two suitors, her business, and now a treasure hunt that her employee Eli has talked her into doing. Well, he and her best friend, Gwen. Dani tried hard not to get caught up in it but couldn’t help it. She has to figure out which one, Luca and Jake, holds her heart more. Then there is that act of keeping her customers happy. However, solving a treasure hunt should be easy after two murder investigations.

I have to say that I like Dani more in each new installment. Dani gets better at stepping into her new shoes as a business owner/boss and coming home.

The Mystery

After solving what she thought was the first clue, Dani dug up a dead body instead of the next clue to the treasure. Dani is once again thrown into a murder investigation because someone thought they saw her at the football field before the dead guy was dead. Now, she has to clear her name and hopefully still find the treasure before anyone else does. I have to say that I fell for the red herring again.

I am giving Double Scoop of Murder by Lena Gregory a rating of five stars and recommending it to all. Ms. Gregory has a great way of weaving together a mystery while adding other elements that keep me coming back to try to solve another mystery before Dani does.
