Will Mia and Luke find the killer?

Dr. Mia Reid has been working at the Lakeview City Museum for three weeks since the end of the last book. She likes her new job and is enjoying having Luke back in her life. The biggest thing is that he is back in Canada to help the local police with art thefts. I like these two characters as they are sweet together. Mia is a good sleuth, especially when it’s part of her job to ask questions. Luke is a great character as her police counterpart.

The Mystery

Mia and Luke learn after the fact about a local antiquarian being found dead in his shop. Wow. A lot of things were happening in this book that I couldn’t believe were happening. Mia was busy not only with her museum job but also with figuring out her relationship with Luke. I thought I’d figured out who was behind everything, but afterward I was like, “Nope, I was wrong.” Ms. Kerr did a wonderful job, and I’m still thinking about how that happened and why I didn’t figure it out sooner.

Four Stars

My rating for Death of an Antiquarian by Rose Kerr is four stars. Ms. Kerr did a fantastic job steering me to the wrong side of who could have been involved. I am still in shock at how it all ended. Mia is a character that I like coming back to join. It’s always nice to see a sleuth in a different type of profession.
