Seville—the home of tapas, flamenco, and … murder?

Tour guide Lana Hansen is finally leading a trip to Spain—and during Easter week, no less! To top it off, she is a speaker at a prestigious travel and tourism expo taking place in Seville during the tour. Luckily, her clients—all influential travel bloggers and writers—are also attending the trade show.

Lana is excited to speak at the conference … that is, until Chet Rogers—an eminent travel writer being honored at the expo—publicly humiliates her and several of her guests.

When Chet is killed during a workshop soon after, Lana is one of the Spanish police’s prime suspects. But she is not the only one in her group who would rather see Chet out of the picture—permanently.

Can Lana sleuth out the killer’s true identity and dance her way out of a jail sentence before her group’s tour to Seville is over?

Death by Flamenco by Jennifer S. Alderson is about greed and distrust sandwiched between the beautiful sights of Spain and a travel industry conference.

Will Lana figure out who killed Chet so they can all get their passports back?

Lana and Randy guide a group of famous travel bloggers, vloggers, and travel writers in Spain.

Death by Flamenco CRChet Rogers has been honored for 30 years in the industry. However, going from printed guidebooks to blogs and videos isn’t easy to do. Chet is not a nice man. He has cheated and stomped his way to where he is and refuses to allow the new generation to step up and claim his audience. At the last event of the travel convention, Chet is murdered, and Lana’s group is front and center as the suspects.

Lana is out to find the culprit, hoping it isn’t one of her tour occupants. I like Lana, but wow, I am not sure she should be guiding tours anymore. In this installment, she thinks she may be an angel of death. Or rather, she and Randy together are. She is a great character. She has come into her own since the beginning. I hope she has found love with Alex, even though he isn’t in the picture much.

Four Stars

My rating for Death by Flamenco by Jennifer S. Alderson is four stars. I love how Ms. Alderson describes the settings and sights of the book. I felt like I was in Spain for the Sema Santa (Easter) celebration.
