Will Harper and Moon figure out who killed the college student?

Roller Derby has come to Pin Cherry, and Harper and Moon seem to be fast fans of the sport. Then Lars, one of their friends, is accused of murdering a college student, and the new sheriff isn’t looking at anyone else. Added to that drama, someone is dealing drugs in town again, which means that Harper and Moon are on the cases.

Mitzy Moon

In this installment, we find that Mitzy’s powers are growing. She continues to learn more magic, even in her sleep. Mitzy is pretty much herself: thoughtful and caring, she is lured in by the puzzle and jumps in to help those in need. She is almost done with the required hours for her private investigator’s license.

She is still one of my favorite witchy sleuths. However, Mitzy made some self-discoveries this time that seemed to shock her, or maybe she is just embracing life.

Erick Harper

Erick enjoys being a newlywed and spending time with Mitzy, but he also misses being the sheriff. He needs the routine and the recognition from the townsfolk. Erick handles all of Mitzy’s quirks elegantly. He seems to enjoy the challenges that Mitzy doesn’t even know she is throwing at him.

I hope he wins the next sheriff election and maintains his relationship with Mitzy.

Five Stars

I loved jumping in with Harper and Moon. My rating for Wheels and Dirty Deals by Trixie Silvertale is five stars. I love this series and highly recommend it. One of the things that I truly love is that Ms. Silvertale keeps the story moving but gives us enough of the couple’s daily lives to make the story pop.
