A Kiss for Kate is a funny, adorable love story.

Kate Smith is a workaholic real-estate agent in love with the perfect guy--Nathan Stone. The last thing she wants to do is to work with Nathan’s do-gooder brother, Jake.

Jake Stone loathes the idea of having Kate on his project. Sure, she might be gorgeous and the best in her field, but she’s also materialistic, selfish, and a real pain in the neck.

The last thing Kate and Jake want is to spend the holiday together, but his dog, Daisy, makes sure Kate is tangled up in his plans.

Will Kate get her perfect kiss from the right brother this Christmas or end up alone under the mistletoe?

A Kiss for Kate by Sara Fitzgerald is about a woman finding the right man for her by Christmas.

Will Kate have her Hallmark moment?

Kate Smith

Miss Kate Smith is our lovely leading lady. Kate starts off a bit snobby, only wanting the best of things, but she evolves as she starts to work with Jake. At first, I didn’t care for Kate since she seemed like she didn’t care what happened to anyone else. She is only concerned with making the biggest buck. I am happy to say that Kate got better as we read the book.

Sadly, I don’t know if we will be friends, but I’m glad she doesn’t care about having all the expensive things anymore.

Nathan Stone

Nathan Stone is Kate’s boss and Jake’s older brother. All Nathan wants for his baby brother and sister is to have them make enough money to live off of for a long time. He also wants Jake to forget about the past and how they got to be where they are that day.

I didn’t care for Nathan. In every scene he appeared in, he seemed like Kate’s boss and never a potential lover.

Jake Stone

Jake Stone is Nathan’s baby brother and the middle child between the Stone siblings. Unlike Nathan, Jake doesn’t want to forget his past and how they came from practically nothing. He wants to remember and help other unfortunate people in the same way. Hence, Jake built those houses in the first place because he wanted them to be for struggling families. Maybe living in Salt Lake City wouldn’t be the best place for that.

I like Jake’s attitude of not wanting money or anything like that. He wants what is best for struggling families, especially around Christmas time. I’m glad he helped Kate see that as well.

Five Stars

I am giving A Kiss for Kate by Sara Fitzgerald five stars and recommending it to all sweet romance readers looking to get into the holiday mood a bit early. If you watch any Christmas in July movies and want to read something instead, Ms. Fitzgerald did an excellent job transporting me to Salt Lake City.
