Threads of Destiny - Crossing Fates Book #1 [PARANORMAL ROMANCE - SHORT STORIES]

Eva Stanis has moved across country from the East Coast to the city of Westport, hoping to put her home city and ex-fiancé behind her. But she is still a Morai, a twister of fates, and must face the fact her new city has its own community of her kind and their own rules.

For Eva, while love is something even someone like her can find unexpectedly, danger is also something not even a weaver of fates can avoid; because, sometimes love and danger come woven together on the same thread…

My take on this book: Threads of Destiny by Lea Roches is a pretty short book and one that tries to fit a lot of information in just three chapters. Granted the three chapters are pretty long but filled with a lot of information that might seem like too much. Miss Roches is a good author that has an awesome idea with this story but maybe she could try to split the chapters up some more or gradually get the information out there throughout all the chapters.

Threads of Destiny is about a new breed of paranormal creatures as we follow Eva on her journey in Westport to figure out what she needs to do there. We also learn a little bit about the Morai which is basically a person that leads a person to their destiny or twists it to go another way that isn’t supposed to happen. I would have, personally, loved to see more information about the Morai and their community as we just get that in a little bit of information that get shown here and there throughout the book.

We also see Eva change throughout the book when she first gets to Westport and I am guessing that each of these chapters were based on that. The first one shows her reclusive and following by the rules she was raised up in for a Morai while the second one shows her opening up but not all the way and then the last one she has fully opened up while still sort of following the rules that her mom has drilled into her from the time she was four to until she left when she was twenty-four.

I am giving this book a three star rating because I can see there is room for improvement in it. If I left the book for a while I had to go back and reread what I already read just to make sure that I remember what I read. It was a little confusing.

Anyways until next time enjoy this book review brought to you by
