If you love mysteries with cats, get ready for a thrilling, action-packed read that will keep you guessing until the very end. While Katherine and Jake are tying the knot at her pink mansion, a teen ghost has other plans, which shake their Erie, Indiana town to its core. How does a beautiful September wedding end in mistaken identity . . . and murder? What does an abandoned insane asylum have to do with a spirit that is haunting Katz? Colleen, a paranormal investigator at night and student by day, shows Katz how to communicate with ghosts. An arsonist is torching historic properties. Will the mansion be his next target? Ex-con Stevie Sanders and the Siamese play their own stalking games, but for different reasons. It's up to Katz and her extraordinary felines to solve two mysteries: one hot, one cold. Seal-point Scout wants a new adventure fix, and litter-mate Abra fetches a major clue that puts an arsonist behind bars. Enjoy this stand-alone novel, then learn more about these characters in their debut book, "The Cats that Surfed the Web." Amazon's bestselling author of "The Cats that . . . Cozy Mystery" series.

Katz becomes a Cokenburger! Excellent Story!

The Cats that Stalked a Ghost by Karen Anne Golden is wonderfully funny. I don’t know what made Katz think she could get married without incident and that’s not even counting the Siamese ring bearers. Cute idea but kind of crazy, lots of laughing.

I like that Ms. Golden has built her town with unique and quirky characters. It feels like small-town life where you have friends and not-so-friends that you interact with daily. People that share your life and know your business whether you would like them to or not. I truly liked the neighborly attitude of the people of Erie and the way they pull together in emergencies and celebrations. It is so mid-western. This is a great cozy mystery.

Katz sees the good in people, as with Stevie Sanders, who had been in a few of the books and it is nice to see that he is changing his life for the better. His sister, Barbie remains slightly flaky even though she has improved her life too.

Jake is such a sweetheart. He and Katz are a great match. The love and respect they have for each other and their cats is inspiring. I look forward to them tackling the next mystery together. Nine heads are better that one, three, five, oh you get the picture.

Kudos to Ms. Golden for such an outstanding installment. I find that I thoroughly enjoy this series. Therefore my rating for The Cats that Stalked a Ghost is 5 Stars. If you haven’t read this book or series check it out, it’s worth the time. My review of The Cats that Watched the Woods might interest you.
