Reluctant witch Halloween LaVeau never guessed that inheriting LaVeau Manor would be so difficult. Sure, she was named Worst Witch of the Year, but her botched spell-casting is all behind her now, right? Everything changed after discovering the ancient Book of Mystics. She’s now the leader of the Underworld… whatever that means. Apparently, she’s in charge of keeping order within the paranormal world.
If that wasn’t enough, Halloween—or Hallie as she prefers to be called—has two gorgeous men making her life even more confusing. The sexy vampire Nicolas Marcos has been accused of stealing another witch’s powers. With the help of Nicolas’ brother, the good-looking warlock Liam Rankin, Hallie must discover if Nicolas is guilty as charged. How will she navigate this Underworld?

Rose Pressey has once again wrote another fast-paced book that kept me guessing while having my suspicions about a few of the characters but not a whole lot.

This book to me is super good and I am happy that I got to read it. The ending was good as well despite being put onto a cliff-hanging ending. Which for one I sometimes hate but also loved since I had the next book already so I could read it instead of waiting for it to come out and be all wondering what would happen.

Rose Pressey is a very good author and she should continue on writing these fantastic books.

Halloween Laveau is descended from a long line of witches. Yes, her name is Halloween. The cosmic universe is definitely playing some kind of sick joke on her. She’s the ultimate witch cliché, complete with a black cat and spooky house. Thank heavens she’s missing the warts and flying broom.
When Halloween inherits her great-aunt’s manor, she decides to put the house to good use as a bed-and-breakfast. Her first guest is the sinfully good-looking Nicolas Marco, but he’s not here for the continental breakfast. Halloween discovers a ratty old book in the attic. It’s written in an unfamiliar language, and unknown to her, the tome is cursed.
Halloween soon learns there’s a link between the book and her newfound talent as a necromancer. But her new skills come with a catch: the reanimated dead aren’t as cupcake-sweet as they were when they were alive. When a rival witch comes after the book, Halloween doesn’t know who to trust–the sexy vampire who says he wants to save the day, or the warlock who says he can destroy the book once and for all.
Halloween had better learn fast. Because when the dead start rising, only a powerful witch can put them back under.

My take on this book: CAUTION! IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THIS BOOK YET. CONTINUE AT YOUR OWN RISK! THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!!!

Once I picked up this book it was like a steam power boat for the rest of it. Basically what I mean is that once I picked up the book and started reading it was like being on fast forward as it was a fast paced book. Don’t get me wrong I loved this book because of that reason.

Halloween, or Hallie as she tells everyone to call her that, is a witch living in Louisiana while trying to start a business on her own. She was fine with the way her life was before she found the book that was marked in her fate.

She has no clue on what to do about the charming Liam or the mysterious Nicolas since she is attracted to the both of them and she has to choose which one she wants by her side.

This book is a great read for anyone that is interested in adult romance and the supernatural aspect of it. I agree with my mom who said that Ms. Pressey has found her calling in writing these books.

My take on this book: CAUTION! IF YOU ARE READING THIS REVIEW BEFORE READING THE BOOK. CONTINUE ON WITH CAUTION!!!

I finished this book in my new house that we are renting in Montana on a day that my mom and I were taking a break from unpacking. I gotta say this book was really good. I mean sure June can be, a lot, insecure with herself about Oscar when he is being near other woman. That, to her are more beautiful than her, but Oscar doesn’t think so.

This book is a really good book and I am oh so very happy with how this book ended. Without June’s help Oscar got his memory back which is a very good thing. Also like in all of the other book’s June got the person that was making her look bad. I think that is it that I want to say on this review. Oh Tonya Kappes is an amazing author and I am very happy with the books that I have read from hers turned out to be.

My take on this book: THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS! IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THIS BOOK READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!

This is another great book by the wonderful Tonya Kappes. From the first time I picked up the book I couldn’t stop reading it. I believe I finished it either that night or the next day. Anyways this book was a good book and I felt bad for June about her not having Oscar anymore.

I feel even worse for her when she has a murder to deal with a long with trying to get her boyfriend back to her. She, like all the other times, found out who the murderer is and helped out with any of the other things her villagers bring to her to deal with.

Along with all of that she goes back to the place that she grew up in she see that Oscar has fallen for someone else. Even if he doesn’t know about who he truly is and about what he and June are currently.

I also find it fascinating how the Bad-Sider twin has a bakery, is quite nice, made a homemade ding-dong for June, and knows when what she is making is for a certain person even if they don’t know that they want that special treat or not.

This book like the other three are all very good books and I am happy to be reading them.

Bubble, Bubble. . .

Cures and Trouble. . .
But when a member of the community is found dead on the steps of A Charming Cure, June's homeopathic cure shop, and her fingerprints show up at the scenes of local robberies, she is kicked off the village council and her powers fall under scrutiny. Until it's uncovered who is wreaking havoc on the town...June's magic is suspended.
Magic Stirs. . .
With the help of a rather obnoxious genie and Mr. Prince Charming, June's Fairy-God cat, June is determined to figure out who is framing her. Time is of the essence when it becomes clear that the true villain is trying to get rid of her...permanently!
And Trouble Doubles. . .
Oscar Park will do anything to protect June even if that means giving up all of his magical powers. . . or worse, his life.

My take on this book: THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS! IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE BOOK READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

I liked this book a lot until the end then I disliked it. Okay not completely disliked it. I just didn’t like the ending of it. June and Oscar finally get together and then they aren’t together because of what ends up happening at the end of the book. I know that Miss Tonya Kappes is trying to keep us on our toes but I mean why did she had to have Oscar get his magic taken away? It’s just so unfair for both June and Oscar’s aunt.

What’s even more worse is that someone wants June to be gone and sadly I don’t remember who it was but it was definitely a good surprise in my head on who wanted her gone. We also learned that genies are real and that you should be careful on what you wish for with those guys around. This book was a good one and we met the lady’s that are a part of the council that oversees all magical people. June also had some good character development going on but not by much. Another good book from Tonya Kappes.
