Y’all need to get yourselves together. Here’s a newsflash from the only High Priestess you have left at this dang school: Zoey isn’t dead. And believe me, I know dead. I’ve been there, done that and got the fricken tee-shirt.
Zoey Redbird is the youngest High Priestess in House of Night history and is the only person—vamp or fledgling—that can stop the evil Neferet from raising all kinds of immortal trouble. And she might just have a chance if she wasn’t so busy being dead.Well, dead is too strong a word. Stevie Rae knows she can bring her BFF back from her unscheduled va-cay in the Otherworld. But it’s going to take a lot more than hoping to bring Zoey back. Stevie Rae will have to give up a few secrets of her own...

Another filler

Burned by PC and Kristin Cast is once again another filler book. This book was purely made to deal with what happened at the ending of Tempted. This book, unlike the others, takes place directly after Zoey’s soul was shattered. It kept me entertained as I read it but also I could see that it wasn’t really edited.

Would really have worked better as a third-person point of view book.

This book I have said before would be better in third person. I think it would have been better told throughout the whole school years. It’s supposed to be a finishing school for vampyres, however; we only have seen what happened in Zoey’s first year. But like I said it should have been in each year. The first three books should have been her first year, and so on with the others for the other years. While at the end of her sixth year after she saves everyone she should have turned into a vampyre. Or something like that instead of pushing it all in her first year as a fledgling.

Stereotypes galore

Another thing I don’t like about it is all of the stereotypes. The stereotypes we have are gay, black, rich, blonde, and country girl. I think that is it for the stereotypes but I could be wrong. But still each of those stereotypes are pretty much present throughout the book series. These stereotypes are pretty much obvious a whole lot throughout the book.

I didn’t like:

I’m glad that Stevie Rae isn’t dating Dallas anymore. That some things are a little bit better about the book. Not by much. That is totally a spoiler. Yeah hating the stereotypes and other things. I do hate the whole abbreviations in the book. It’s target is teenagers but I mean none of my friends talked like that. Another thing that I disliked is that the teenagers, at times, don’t act like teenagers would. The authors should have let a beta reader be a teenager to see what they thought of it. But again oh well it’s already over with. And I think I am done with my rambling of this book review. I hope this review has helped you out.

Three Stars

Burned by PC and Kristin Cast is actually pretty good. It doesn’t receive a five or four stars from me. It gets a three star. I usually start out with five then I take the stars away if I need to. It kept my attention and made me want to continue on reading it. What I didn’t like was how this book to me was made purely to have as an after effect of the last book. Don’t get me wrong it’s a good book but it also could have used a little bit more editing. Probably be reread from someone else and maybe add in some more things from the Otherworld from Zoey or Stark or even Heath’s point of views. Oh or even Kalona’s point of views. But oh well.
