Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town where Halloween is celebrated 365 days a year. The tourists think it's all a show: the vampires, the werewolves, the witches, the occasional gargoyle flying through the sky. But the supernaturals populating the town know better. Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself. Fangs and all.

Getting arrested wasn’t on werewolf Ivy Kincaid’s agenda when she arrived in Nocturne Falls, but her life rarely goes according to plan. The upside of spending the night in the local lock-up is finding a hotel room is no longer a worry...but the downside is the man she’s come to marry will get his first impression of her behind bars. Not exactly the way Ivy was hoping to meet her pack's sworn enemy...aka her fiancé.

Sheriff (and werewolf) Hank Merrow is the alpha's heir. Everything he's ever done, from becoming an Army Ranger to serving in law enforcement, has been in preparation for the day he’ll take over. Getting married to cement a shaky truce is no different. Hank will do his duty, even if it means shackling himself to a woman he has no intention of liking, let alone loving.

But Ivy is nothing like Hank expected. As feisty as she is beautiful, she's as determined as he is to make a go of marriage for the sake of peace between their packs. The trouble is, Ivy has secrets that could destroy everything Hank holds dear...including his newfound love for her.

The second book is a big hit too!

The Werewolf Meets His Match by Kristen Painter is another fabulous story. She paints a fabulously supernatural story.

Ivy is such a contradiction. She acts like she is tough as nails and doesn’t have a care in the world. However, once you get to know her, you can see through the smoke and mirrors act. Ivy wants the love she didn’t receive as a child. Clemens Kincaid paired Ivy with Hank to mess with Hank’s pack standing. The double bonus is he got rid of the daughter he never wanted.

Hank is such a good guy. He is a super sheriff, ex-military, and has a heart of gold and a huge sense of honor. It also helps that he is big, strong, employed, and has his own home. What a catch! Hank has always figured that he would end up in an arranged marriage, just not to someone like Ivy. He is in love with Ivy, which seems to floor him. Hank’s family is cute. They are pushy and nosy, with lots of love.

The Big Bad Wolf

The big bad in this book turns out to be Ivy’s father. Wow, that guy is an arse! Hank is definitely the guy who enforces the karma.

We get to see different areas of Nocturne Falls in this book and meet a few different people. Therefore, we learn that Delaney opened her sweet shop. Hugh and Sebastian are involved too. This little town may be made up of supernatural, but it still has that small town vibe, which is so endearing.

My rating for The Werewolf Meets His Match by Kristen Painter is five stars. I am so hooked on this wonderful series.
